GSINN A Summary Report of the Hindsight Exercise

In December 2020, the IOG launched Government Science and Innovation in the New Normal (GSINN), a multi-year, collaborative research initiative designed to support medium-term planning for the federal science and innovation departments and agencies, and provide an in-depth examination of the evolving relationship among science, innovation and society. Between December 2020 and March 2021, the IOG conducted a hindsight exercise that included a survey and a series of workshops and roundtable discussions to explore the impact of the pandemic on the science and innovation functions of the federal government. This report presents the findings of that research.
