Senior Policy Analyst

Jacob Danto-Clancy is a Senior Policy Analyst at the IOG, where he works at the intersection of governance, technology, and the public interest. His work supports public institutions in navigating digital transformation, developing policy frameworks, and responsibly adopting emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.

With a multidisciplinary background in research, writing, and facilitation, Jacob has led and supported consulting projects on AI readiness, data governance, and service modernization for clients including Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Competition Bureau, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. Prior to joining the IOG, he worked as a freelance consultant and analyst, producing policy reports, workshop designs, and engagement strategies for federal departments and municipalities.

Jacob holds a Master of Public Policy in Digital Society from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from the University of King’s College. His recent work has focused on aligning digital strategy with public values and institutional mandates.

Jacob is based in Toronto, Ontario.
