Jacob is a Senior Policy Analyst at the IOG, where he contributes to projects at the intersection of governance, technology, and public interest. His work supports public institutions in navigating digital transformation, developing policy frameworks, and responsibly adopting emerging technologies like AI.

Jacob brings a multidisciplinary background in research, writing, and facilitation, with consulting experience across a range of public sector organizations. He has led and supported projects on AI readiness, data governance, and service modernization for clients including Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Competition Bureau, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Prior to joining the IOG, Jacob worked as a freelance consultant and analyst, producing policy reports, workshop designs, and engagement strategies for federal departments and municipalities. His recent work has focused on aligning digital strategy with public values and institutional mandates.

He holds a Master of Public Policy in Digital Society from McMaster University and continues to explore the evolving role of governance in a digital age.
