The IOG Hosts a Legislative Leadership Retreat with Nigerian Legislators

In November, the Institute on Governance hosted the Legislative Leadership Retreat: Bridging the Gap Between Government Policies and Citizens’ Welfare, bringing together members of the Nigerian state legislatures to explore Canada’s legislative framework. The event included sessions on the Canadian Westminster model, intergovernmental relations, ethical dilemmas in public service, collaborative governance, strategic challenges in public service, and the role of science in policymaking. Participants also visited Parliament Hill to observe Canada’s legislative processes.
