Four Breakfast Panel Discussions for Government Leaders

Join us for an exclusive speaker series that addresses the critical challenges facing Canada’s modern public service. Bringing together top experts from various fields, this series offers a unique opportunity to gain insights and solutions on key issues such as workforce transformation, combating disinformation, managing reduced resources, and fostering intergovernmental collaboration.

Timing and Details:

Each session runs from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

Enjoy a buffet-style breakfast starting at 8:00 am, with networking opportunities before the event begins at 8:30 am. Sessions will conclude by 9:45 am to accommodate participants’ schedules.

    Explore how the public service can adapt to a post-COVID-19 environment. Key topics include hybrid work, digital transformation, and maintaining resilience.
    Panelists: Siobhan Benita (Global Government Forum), Christiane Fox (Deputy Clerk, Privy Council), Graham Flack (Former Secretary, Treasury Board of Canada). Moderated by Catherine Morrison, Ottawa Citizen.
  1. December 11, 2024 – Responding to Disinformation
    How can public servants maintain trust in the age of disinformation?
    Learn strategies for managing misinformation and sustaining citizen trust amidst evolving political communications.
  2. January 22, 2025 – Managing Reduced Resources
    What do reduced resources mean for public service leaders?
    Gain insights on effective resource management during fiscal challenges, drawing on lessons from past government reviews.
  3. February 5, 2025 – Enhancing Intergovernmental Collaboration
    How can we sustain collaboration in times of reduced political cooperation?
    Explore strategies to enhance intergovernmental collaboration on critical policy issues like healthcare and climate change.
