Samuel Wells is a Research Analyst at the IOG and a student at the University of Ottawa where he is completing an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences degree with a specialization in Conflict and Human Rights. Sam’s work at the IOG has focused on a range of practice areas, including public sector governance, board governance, and international governance. Sam has also conducted research on the use of private and non-profit organizations to fulfill public policy objectives, analyzing the scope of such practices as well as the accountability and risk management structures that pertain. He led the composition of the IOG’s policy paper The Changing Nature of Public Sector Governance: A Quantitative Review of Distributed Governance in Canada. Prior to joining the IOG, Sam worked as an intern on Parliament Hill.
