TBS Digital Policy Feedback

1 minute read

On September 11, 2018 Institute on Governance Research Director Matt Jackson provided feedback to the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada on the direction for a new Digital Policy as part of the second phase of the public consultation.

In addition to highlighting how a single Digital Policy would benefit Canadians and government operations, the response also identifies challenges for implementation, critical gaps with the current proposals.

One key issue addressed is the need for a governance structures that support the implementation, sustainability, and continuous improvement of the Digital Policy.

Matt and the IOG appreciate the opportunity to participate in this consultation and look forward to continuing to provide feedback on this and other digital initiatives within the federal public service.
