The Governance Continuum is a visual representation of the measurements described by the IOG Autonomy Index – measurement of the overall autonomy that a public sector body has from direct government control. The Governance Continuum demonstrates the accountability links within the public sector between the Public, the Legislature, the Executive, the Minister, and the Ministry, and any given public sector body.

The Governance Continuum also demonstrates the level of autonomy that any given organization has from the entities to which it is accountable in the form of the physical distance of each link.
