Webinar - Project Management
Possessing an understanding of project management principles and practice is an increasingly sought after skill for public sector organizations focused on the delivery of citizen-centered results. The ability to manage staff, resources, clients, and stakeholders toward a specific objective is an increasingly important feature of the work of public servants in policy, regulatory or program initiatives. Projects large and small are an increasingly important factor in the ability of governments to delivery results aligned to their priorities.
This half-day webinar introduces the key project management principles, and practices, and tools. Using group break-out sessions, exercises and live instructor-led training, participants will learn the principles of project management and their application to cases drawn from actual public sector examples.

At the end of the training session participants will have:
- Gained awareness of the main factors, drivers and considerations that distinguish project management in the public sector from other sectors
- Understanding where project management fits in and contributes to policy, program, and regulatory development, delivery and implementation
- Become familiar with some of the key foundational practices of project management, from planning to execution and evaluation

The IOG value-added
