Yusuf joined the Institute on Governance in April 2017 as a Project Officer focusing on the Fiscal Federalism and Decentralization Project in Iraq.
Yusuf has worked in a number of countries including the USA, Canada, Iraq, Nepal and Turkey. He has experience in project coordination, service operations and the non-profit service industry.
Yusuf holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with double major in Political Science and Middle East Studies from the Portland State University, a Masters in International Relations focused on Conflict Analysis and Conflict Resolution from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs- Carleton University. Yusuf speaks English, Turkish and Kurdish.
