A full day of reflection on what life is all about once you retire from the workforce and how to best approach each phase of this crucial part of your life. Discussions of what retirement truly is and how to confront the many challenges that you will have to face over the period. The leader will guide you through a fascinating and very realistic breakdown of each phase of retirement and will offer clear advice along the way as to how to best prepare. This session is a must for anyone who is seriously thinking about retirement in the near future. You don’t want to miss out on this unique opportunity. (Note that the focus of this seminar is NOT on the financial aspect of retirement.)

When it comes to preparing for retirement, there is no doubt that financial considerations play a key role in our preparation, as indeed they should. The mere thought of running short of money in our old age is, to say the least, scary. We want to retire with peace of mind knowing that our pensions and investments will provide us with security and comfort until the end. Financial institutions are capitalizing on this big time with huge and aggressive publicity campaigns in order to bring in as many new customers (and their money!) as they possibly can. The essence of their message is that it is only a matter of time before people can live their dream and they will spare no effort or money to ensure that retirement is portrayed as if it was paradise on earth… provided of course that people use the services that they offer. In fact, by and large, financial considerations totally dominate the agenda when it comes to preparing for retirement. Yet, this is so dangerous. Indeed there are countless number of people who retire with huge bank accounts and tons of things to do, but they are miserable in retirement. How is this possible? Simply because it is imperative to go way beyond these financial considerations when preparing for retirement and address the more existential and meaningful questions that affect us all as human beings. Many people neglect this important aspect and this probably explains why even rich people can be so miserable in retirement.
This is where our one day seminar “RETIREMENT: ADVENTURE OR… MISADVENTURE?” will help. This seminar will make you understand what retirement truly is right from the get go until the end. The leader takes a very open and direct approach in discussing “matters of retirement” and no stone is left unturned. There are no taboos in the discussions, and numerous anecdotes and personal examples are brought about by the leader and his 16 years of experience in retirement.

The leader will take you through a fascinating and very realistic breakdown of each phase of retirement, while offering advice and guidance along the way as to how to best prepare. The overall objective is to make you mindful of what lies ahead so that when confronted with some of the challenges, you will be better equipped. A number of tools will also be presented to help you in your preparation so that hopefully you can make more enlightened decisions as you approach the big transition day.
This seminar has received rave reviews from participants in the more than 500 sessions that the leader has conducted in recent history. If you are considering retirement within the relatively near future, you really do not want to miss this session.
