This one-day interactive workshop provides an understanding of how you can design, implement and use performance measurement systems to manage and report on program results as outlined in the new TB Policy on Results and the government’s Results & Delivery approach.
Why this course is important?
Treasury Board’s new Policy on Results came into effect July 1 and reflects the principles, and practice, of Sir Michael Barber’s deliverology as articulated by the Results and Delivery Unit at PCO. If you’re a program manager, you will need a performance measurement system that can credibly and effectively ‘tell your program’s performance story’ within the context of the new Policy, help you improve program results and provide useful information to support your planning and decision making needs.
Your ability to clearly tell this story is directly linked to, among other things, your program’s future success and your personal performance evaluation.
Who should participate in this course?
Managers and senior staff interested in strengthening their understanding of the utility of performance measurement systems, how to develop and implement them, and how use the performance information generated to plan, deliver and report on program results.
