Back by popular demand! Last summer, the IOG held a 2-day learning bootcamp exclusively for the HR community.  We are re-offering this unique and successful event.

Summary:

HR professionals have demonstrated their strategic importance in supporting the implementation of recent budget decisions. The question is, how do we ensure these valuable resources continue to add strategic value as we move forward? This two-day Boot Camp is specifically designed for federal public servants at the EX-1 or equivalent level, including employees recognized as high potential, who work in the human resources sections in their departments or agencies and who want to continue to add value in future leadership positions.

Why does executive leadership matter?

HR leaders in the public service need to adapt to changes in government and be ready to support and guide management tables at a strategic level. This course will give participants the understanding and means to build on their knowledge so that they are equipped to ’Remain at the Table”. 

In today’s environment, learning is more important than ever. In the Sixth Report of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee on the Public Service we read that “It is…  necessary to sustain investments in employee training and development, to ensure that the Public Service maintains the capacity to do its job even as the total size of the workforce is shrinking.”

This course is specifically designed for professionals who work in the human resources sections in their departments or agencies.
