Communicating Change Successfully

A new government means change.  Almost 60% of transformation exercises fail due to lack of, or inappropriate, communication.  Avoid being part of the 60 percent.  This one-day course will help you communicate change in times of transformation.  It details strategies to build support for your change management or a transformation initiative.  It provides specific examples and best practices, identifies common mistakes and pitfalls managers often experience and outlines proven solutions to these issues that managers and change leaders can implement right away.

Who should participate in this course?
This course is designed for managers and change leaders tasked with moving their teams successfully through a transformation or change management exercise.

Participants will be able to better understand:

  • Roles and responsibilities for communications
  • How to define the role of key players such as top management, communications executives, HR specialists, front-line managers
  • Why listening is critical
  • Managing expectations of both senior management and staff
  • Engaging employees
  • How to ensure open communication – even when there’s nothing to say
  • How to overcome employee resistance to change
  • How to monitor the effectiveness of your communication efforts and successfully effect course changes as needed.

Course fee
This 1-day course is $890.00 (no HST) per person, including meals. We are offering additional discounts on group registrations.  If you register 2 people, the course is $800 per person; registering 3 people is $750 per person and; registering 4 people or more is $700 per person. The IOG is offering three types of discount packages to those interested in signing up for multiple transformation course offerings. Individual participants can receive a discount if they are interested in attending 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these courses this year. We are also offering a discount when multiple individuals from an organization participate in a single course, with the greater the number of participants equaling deeper and deeper discounts. Finally, the IOG has substantial experience in offering customized courses, and we are offering to create a customized package of transformation courses for branches, teams or groups to meet your specific issues and requirements.
