Foresight challenges Directors to think strategically and be a strategist for the organization.  Usually an annual process, there are functions within this area of focus that require attention when looking at the current culture and when looking to leading a cultural shift.  “Do all the pieces fit?”, is the question Driectors answer in this role.

Who should participate in this course?

This course is designed to provide the foundational knowledge required by Board members to ensure the ongoing direction, vibrancy and relevance of the organization as it works towards achieving the mandate.  Anyone currently serving on a Board, who is new to a Board or who might be thinking of serving on a NFP Board will benefit from this workshop.

Foresight specific learning objectives:

Outlining the roles, responsibilities and strategic processes of a Director in areas such as

  • Framing board deliberations with a strategic mindset
  • Identifying and leading the processes for strategic planning in a collaborative manner
  • Developing succession and recruitment plans for Board, CEO and key staff
  • Allocating resources to meet strategic objectives and meet organizational priorities.
  • Developing a risk management plan

Course fees:

The cost of this course is $275 (no HST) per person. You can sign up for all four courses for $900.00.  The price includes expert facilitation, light meal and course materials.
