View the 2012 Fleck Lecture webcast
On October 9th, the IOG held the 2012 Fleck Lecture – an opportunity to discuss how governments are adapting to technological, economic and democratic change. The topic of this year’s Fleck Lecture was The Future of the Ontario Public Service and was delivered by Peter Wallace, Secretary of the Cabinet, Head of the Ontario Public Service and Clerk of the Executive Council.
Mr. Wallace is responsible for leading the charge to transform the way the province delivers its services. Backed by over thirty years of experience in the Ontario Public Service, Mr. Wallace discussed the Government of Ontario’s forward-looking approach to ensuring results in this fiscally challenging environment.
The IOG’s Fleck Lecture celebrates Jim Fleck, entrepreneur, academic, civil servant, and philanthropist. Dr. Fleck’s contributions to Canadian society have touched most, if not all, Canadians. He has spent much of his career focusing on how business and government can collaborate to develop innovative solutions to an ever-evolving array of business and societal challenges. The IOG was honored to have him as its first lecturer in 2010 and to name this series in his honor.
