IOG Hosts Capacity Development Workshop on Citizen-Centric Government with IDB
The Institute on Governance (IOG) was invited to implement a workshop at the fourth edition of the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) Capacity Development Workshop on Citizen-Centric Government, an executive training for senior officials at the national and sub-national levels in Brazil. This edition was held at the National School of Public Administration (Escola Nacional de Administraçaõ Pública – ENAP) in Brasilia from June 27-29.
The methodology of the workshop focused on the practical application of knowledge to promote the generation of initiatives aimed at building more effective, efficient and open governments, with emphasis on the provision of services centered on the needs of the citizens and the private sector.
The IOG was well positioned to contribute to the discussion of a citizen-centric government, as the pre-eminent, independent Canadian source of knowledge, research and advice on governance. The IOG was represented by VP Public Governance Sylvain Dubois, who held the position of Senior Director General of Service Integrity at Service Canada and Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, and Senior Associate Peter Bruce, former Senior Assistant Deputy Minister of Shared Services Canada.
