Attend the Jean-Pierre Gaboury Symposium at the Institute on Governance

You are invited to the Fourth Annual Jean-Pierre Gaboury Symposium on June 20 at the Institute on Governance.  Parliamentary Interns, selected as finalists in production of interesting research papers on “MPs as Partisans, Policy Makers and Parliamentarians”, will present their work to an audience of their peers, academics, alumni, researchers and granting councils at the 60 George Street location of the IOG.

After the morning presentations, a light lunch will be served followed by luncheon speaker Marc Bosc, Deputy Clerk of the House of Commons.   • Dustin Munroe

    Dustin Munroe

    Research Officer

    Dustin has been a Research Officer at the Institute on Governance since September of 2012. Much of his work at the IOG involves research, writing, and logistical support for advisory services projects. These projects serve clients that seek expertise from the IOG in our knowledge areas of not-for-profit governance and public sector governance. Another area where Dustin has been deployed is in support of the IOG’s Public Governance Exchange (PGEx) applied research initiative. In addition to his responsibilities in advisory services, Dustin is also active at the IOG in event planning, business development, and communications.

    Dustin’s current governance interests are in the areas of board governance, stakeholder relations, collaborative governance, and distributed governance organizations. He also has an ongoing interest in public policy, provincial politics, and federal politics. Before joining the IOG, Dustin worked for the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatoon StarPhoenix daily newspaper. He completed Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in political science at the University of Saskatchewan.

  • Marcel Chiasson

    Marcel Chiasson

    Senior Associate

    Marcel Chiasson joined the Institute on Governance in January 2011. Prior to joining the IOG, Marcel worked for Public Works Government Services Canada  on procurement modernization and prior to that for Treasury Board Secretariat and the Correctional Services of Canada.

    Marcel Chiasson is a public sector executive with thirty years of experience in operational and strategic management. He has in-depth experience in business transformation, change and governance, process improvement, performance management, horizontal reviews and acquisitions. Marcel has earned Bachelor degrees in Theology and Arts (Literature, History and Mathematics).
